My group just posted four full-time, entry-level programmer positions
within the UC Davis Mouse Biology Program. Chosen candidates will
initially rotate through web development, database administration,
Linux system administration, and analytics/data visualization tasks
(mostly LAMP stack and open source) with senior staff before taking on
longer-term assignments.

The Mouse Biology Program (MBP) is an interdisciplinary group of
scientists and staff from the Schools of Medicine and Veterinary
Medicine and the College of Biological Sciences, with administrative
and intellectual oversight provided by the Center for Comparative
Medicine. This interdisciplinary group focuses on expanding knowledge
on the biology of the laboratory mice and on the application of
genetically-altered mice in biomedical research. The MBP offers
coordinated expertise in mouse biology "from concept through creation"
and supports state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, services and
mouse vivarium to provide an enriched environment for students,
trainees, and investigators utilizing genetically-altered mice in
research.
