Description EXECUTIVE POSITION SPECIFICATION
Position VP/Senior Director Engineering
Position Responsibilities The VP/Senior Engineering will be responsible for delivering the products and services as defined by the product management group. In doing so, this manager will be responsible meeting critical time lines and budget requirements. The VP/Senior Director engineering will report to The Office of The CTO and will interact with other technical and functional vice presidents and directors in areas such as product management and network operations. Tactically this executive will manage technical development teams in the completion of products and services initiatives. Presently this group is comprised of 8 professionals.
Education Requirements Undergraduate Degree Required
Business Experience This executive must have a demonstrated and verifiable track record in building and successfully managing development and/or engineering teams in the security software, digital security, electronic messaging, and/or network security business sectors. The ideal candidate will have:· Subject matter expertise and thought leadership experience from a direct competitor organization.· Deep software development experience· Database experience: MySQL & DB2· Linux, Perl, C, and PHP experience· Email and/or SMTP experience· Storage experience· ASP or software services experience· Distributed network experience
Behavioral Requirements and Interpersonal Skills This role requires a dynamic individual who has the interpersonal and communication skills needed to engage both technical and business executives. This manger must be detailed orientated and organized. Behaviorally, this person must be a realistic forward thinking, aggressive, can do manager who can build an efficient, cost effective development/engineering team.
Compensation Compensation is very competitive and will include base salary, bonus, stock incentives and a comprehensive benefit program.
