Hello--I'm interested in this position. I use Linux as my primary
operating system, I always prefer to compile from source (on my own
machine, anyway) then to rely on packages. I also maintain a FreeBSD
server that hosts Sendmail and Apache. I don't use iptables with my
FreeBSD box, because they are handled by the ISP--I submit my
requirements via e-mail (including specifications of the actual
rules).
I have given a few talks on topics at my favorite LUG, LUGOD,
including Perl programming, and a summary of most of the major changes
in the C language between the last two published standards ("C90 and
C99").
My résumé is included in the rest of this message body (plaintext). My
last couple of jobs were Windows-based, but I was able to survive by
installing Cygwin ;-)
