Sam is a UC Davis grad, came to speak at a very early LUGOD meeting,
author of libSDL (which I use, and talked about at LUGOD at least once),
worked at Loki Games (remember them? they ported commercial titles to
Linux), and is currently a bigwig developer at Blizzard (best known
these days for 'World of Warcraft').
