[vox-tech] HTPC/Media PC image not centered/symmetrical on TV

Yes, it is a strange resolution. I've adjusted it with the under/over
scan feature such that the produced image lines up with the top, left and
bottom sides. Unfortunately, it leaves the problematic black stripe on
the right of the screen.

I have selected the standard modes, however, the borders of the image are
outside the viewable area. Meaning, the task bar cannot be seen because
it's to low on the TV, and the desktop icons on the left cannot be seen
because they too are outside the viewable area. Same with the top. So in
order to get the image inside the viewable area, I have to reduce the
resolution to 1136 X 676p.

Now if it let me adjust each side independently of one another, I may get
it to work. However, left and right and top and bottom are paired so that
increasing and decreasing adjusts both sides simultaneously.

The TV has always adjusted the image to fit the screen size for analog
signals and HD signals over coax. This is the fist time I've used the
HDMI inputs and it doesn't seem to adjust the image to fit like other
inputs.

Since the HDMI is integrated into the MB, I guess I'll have to resort to
customer support from ASUS... MB support is not a toll free number.

Well, I've been a fan of Nvidia for the longest time, and was hesitant at
going with ATI. I feel even stronger about that now. Lesson Learned.

Thanks!
Aaron
