I had previously written to this list to complain that my installation
of Altera's MaxPlus on Wine had broken around the time that I upgraded
my kernel to 2.6.

In today's dist-upgrade on unstable, wine got upgraded to
0.0.20040505-1, and this fixed my installation of MaxPlus.
So, problem solved.
