   Sr. Unix Systems Administrator  

   Our client, a leading company in Sunnyvale is looking for a strong Unix
   Systems Administrator to join their team.  This is a long term contract
   opportunity.  Our client is looking for someone with experiences working
   in a mix RedHat/Solaris environment with Veritas Netbackup, Volume
   Manager, and EMC Storage
    

   Desired Skills:

     o 7-10 years experience as a UNIX  System Administrator
     o Strong background in Solaris 2.6/7/8/9/10 and RHEL 4.x/5.x
     o Hands-on experience with Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Netbackup
     o Strong experiences in SAN devices (EMC Celerra/CLARiiON, NetApp Filer,
       Brocade switch)
     o Certifications in Solaris, Linux and/or SAN are preferred.
     o BS in (Computer) Science/Engineering or equivalent IT work experience.
     o Solid understanding of TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS, NIS and SMTP.
     o Experiences of DNS, Apache, Sendmail, Bind, LDAP, and ProofPoint.
     o Experience in data center or network operations with HA (high
       availability) and/ or 24X7 service level.
    

   Responsibilities include:

     o Perform Capacity Planning, Infrastructure Design, and Systems
       Administration.
     o Create robust, high availability  and secure design for UNIX/Linux
       server infrastructure.
     o Provide 7x24 rotating Level 3 Support for Unix and storage
       infrastructure for various group companies.
     o Interface with the clients with related to technical
       issue/inquiry/request.
     o Setting various policies for applications and infrastructure -
       patching schedules, deployment of releases, testing and system
       readiness.
     o Manage Linux and Solaris systems on Sun/Intel and Fujitsu Platforms in
       Production/Testing/Development environments.
     o Configure and manage Virtual Server environments, Storage
       infrastructure and DR installations.
     o Administer Systems Monitoring; Troubleshoot SW/HW Issues Methodically.
     o Process knowledge of Configuration management & Change control.
     o Create and update technical documentations (system configuration and
       operation).
