for specific market segments. Bright Cluster delivers highly evolved
Linux cluster solutions designed specifically for Biotechnology &
Pharmaceutical companies.  

Sales - High Performance Computing

Job Responsibility: 

Lead prospects through a predefined sales cycle that is typical for
the industry.

Typically, the sales cycle…

1. Begins with prospecting to set an appointment for a technology
demo (demo performed in-person or virtually depending on the
opportunity)
2. Follows with an evaluation period where Bright Cluster technical
staff is on hand (on-site or by phone depending on the opportunity)
to help the client test Pulse‘ technology on the prospect’s existing
cluster, a Bright Cluster demo tower, or in the case of big
pharmaceuticals, on an evaluation cluster purchased from Bright
Cluster
3. Concludes with a booked sale based on a successful evaluation.
4. Continues every 1 to 3 years as the client grows or completely
replaces the cluster!

Ideal Background: 

- Knowledgeable about Linux clusters and how they are used for
bioinformatics research
- Experience selling high ticket technology products into life
science organizations
- Experience selling Linux Clusters for a tier one or tier two
systems vendor


Required Skills & Experience: 

- At least 3-5 years technology (hardware, software, or both)  sales
experience
- A proven track record of selling large-ticket items in a highly
technical sales cycle (to technical and financial decision makers)
- Ability to travel and professionally represent the company and its
solutions
- A professional telephone manner and excellent verbal and written
communication skills
