Please send resumes for the following Direct Client requirements:

1) System Admin with strong Middleware Experience

Location: East Bay
Duration: 6 months

 
Responsibilities:
 
Installation and configuration of J2EE application server ( WebSphere and
Weblogic)
Automated system administration tasks by implementing scripts in shell
script, Perl, Python, etc.
Install OS, patches, software, hardware, upgrades in a development
Support development environment for multiple developers
Installation new hardware and software for multiple environments
 
Requirements:
 
o Minimum 5 years commercial systems engineering experience
o Solid knowledge of Linux and some AIX and Solaris knowledge.
o Must possess a solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system;
understand paging and swapping, file system concepts ("inode",
"superblock"), can use performance analysis to tune systems.
o Must have a solid understanding of networking/distributed computing
environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server
programming, the design of consistent network-wide filesystem layouts.
o Must be able to configure NFS and NIS, use nslookup or dig to check
information in the DNS, understands basic routing concepts.
o comfortable with most aspects of UNIX systems administration; for example,
configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration,
printing systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.
o Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to understand complex
relationships between components of a J2EE application.
o Working experience with Perl and UNIX shell scripts. Must be able to
develop and maintain build complex build scripts and various automation
tasks
o Good problem solving skills for technical and software related issues.
o Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical
peoples both verbally and in writing. Skill in writing concise,
understandable, technical documentation.
o Ability to work independently while keeping track of a large number of
continuing problems or projects.
o Flexibility in work hours as well as able to handle shifting priorities in
a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
o Self-motivated, excellent communication skills and good team player.
 
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A SOLARIS SYSTEM ADMIN POSITION, IT REQUIRES STRONG MIDDLEWARE EXPERIENCE WITH LINUX AND AIX


2) Java/Oracle/Unix with Manufacturing

Positions: 2
Location: San Francisco
Duration: 4 months

 We have 2 openings with our client.

 Need a mid-level Java developer having experience with Oracle and Unix.
 Should have worked on Manufacturing system.

 Experience on Oracle Applications is a great plus.
