Software Management Consultants, Inc. in Glendale, CA has the following
job opportunity: Sr. UNIX administrator to provide support for business
critical systems.  Will provide day-to-day operational support of the
Solaris environment and UNIX-based core systems infrastructure, including,
but not limited to: DNS, LDAP, firewall services, HTTP proxies and web
filtering, E-mail, (sendmail SMTP), NIS+, Tivoli monitoring systems and
Oracle database servers.  Manage Sun Solaris servers, Network Appliance
filers and other storage subsystems.  Perform system analysis, design,
testing, installation, operation and maintenance.  Provide direct customer
support, address escalations, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs
as needed for services that must be available up to 7x24 service levels.
Minimum requirements:  Five or more years Sun Solaris administration
experience.  Demonstrated strong client-focus and customer service
skills.  Demonstrated detail-oriented support skills and a security
conscious focus.  B.S. in Computer Science, IS, IT or related field
strongly desired.
