up to Border's new large TV. Next demo will be April 21st.
- DCN - No news.
- Other LUGs
- Mar. 20th - BALUG meeting (San Francisco). Topic TBA.

- Apr. 21st - LUGOD holds Linux demo at Borders in Davis.
- May 2nd - SVLUG, mobile Linux "and other fun stuff."
- Installfests - The last Installfest was March 18th, and it
was great! The
Sacramento News & Review mentioned it (so we had a lot of drop-ins).
A Netpliance iOpener was there, but couldn't get Linux installed due to
a bad IDE cable (probably). We had one Mac laptop (successful) and
two classic Macs (SEs? impossible!?)
- LERT - One call for IDE help pending.
Other Business
- LUGOD CD - The "Winter 2001" LUGOD CD is available. 100 copies
were pressed and donated by Z-World. It includes, among other things,
StarOffice, Gimp, Linux Kernel (2.2.18 and 2.4.1), some multimedia files,
some MSDOS tools, and much more...
- Linux Terminal Server Project - LTSP and a school in Oregon
are giving away 1000 Celeron CPUs to schools which participate in the
project. They can set up a lab with 1 Linux server and 20 Linux clients
for around $2000. We've contacted Richard Glass of the Yolo County
of Education and he's looking into it. LUGOD's offered our help.
- Financial Report - $56.70 in voluntary dues were
collected. An Ethernet card was donated (to be given away at our
next meeting.)
Presentation
