Dear Brian,
My colleagues & I will be visiting Davis today for events this
afternoon and evening. Both events are open to the public, and your
neighbors hosting us would be thrilled to see you there.
In the afternoon, I'll be speaking at UC-Davis at a discussion
organized by the California International Law Center:
[3]What: How students can help restore constitutional limits on
government surveillance
When: Monday, October 16, 12:00 noon
Where: UC-Davis School of Law, King Hall, Room 1303
In the evening, my colleagues Camille Ochoa and Amul Kalia will join me
for a workshop organized by the Davis Linux Users Group:
[4]What: Surveillance self-defense, and how you can push back
When: Monday, October 16, 6pm
Where: Explorit Nature Center, 3141 5th St., Davis, CA
Please [5]RSVP to attend.
Both events offer a great opportunity to learn about online security,
connect with other concerned individuals in your area, and gain tools
for fighting back against surveillance. They're also opportunities to
learn more about the [6]Electronic Frontier Alliance, a nationwide
movement of organizations defending digital rights on campuses and in
local communities like your's.
I hope to see you there!
