New Yolo County Community Calendar
**********************
Working with the Yolo Community Foundation, DCN has recently
introduced a new county wide community calendar. This calendar
functions just like the current Davis community calendar, but gives
access to community groups and non-profits across Yolo County. For
more information refer to the link below.

E-mail List Management with Mailman
An introduction to managing e-mail lists with Mailman. This class
offers tips on the management of this useful online tool. It is
mainly, but not exclusively,
for groups that manage lists via the DCN mail server. If your
organization increasingly relies on the Internet and email to
communicate among project
committees, membership or other constituents, you may already be using
or need to learn to use e-mail lists. Mailman is a popular and
effective list
management system that DCN freely offers to community groups and
provides instruction on.
Thursday 3/27/08
SimpleSites 2.0 Website Creation
Training for community organizations using DCN's easy SimpleSites,
this session will cover DCN's SimpleSites version 2, a powerful
toolkit developed by the DCN Web Team. In this class, you can learn
to start building your own website even without HTML knowledge or web
authoring experience. Examples are available at
http://groups.dcn.org/.
Thursday 4/10/08
Web Calendar Class
Instruction on use of DCN's web calendar for individual organizations
and the Davis Community Calendar.
The Davis Community Calendar can be viewed at http://events.dcn.org.

up a blog, including customizing the look by adding photos or

Internet Resources for Non-Profits
******************************************
One of DCN's most important missions continues to be providing
internet resources to local community groups and non-profit
organizations. Please note
that the Resource Allocation Committee now meets on the third Monday
of each month. Groups applying for resources are requested to do so at
least a week prior to the meeting. For more information and an online
application form see
http://www2.dcn.org/dcn/about/committees/rac/apply_html
