Actually its nowhere near as bloated in 3.2/3.3 I use 3.2 on a 366 laptop 
256MB ram, a Bondi Blue Imac with 64 megs, and a Desktop at work running 
64megs at 400Mhz without trouble. So bloated I would disagree with as a term 
for kde, it requires about as many resources to run as windows 95/98 does
