[vox-tech] Ubuntu 16.04 install issue

I haven't burned a disc in years.  I decided to try another distribution 
so I put Xubuntu 15.10 on a flash drive and it booted into the desktop 
without any issues, so it seems there must be something different about 
Ubuntu 16.04.
