I use IMAP, running my own mail server with Postfix and Courier IMAP for
the past 14 years.  Have used KMail, Claws Mail and Thunderbird at
various times.  As my mail archives grew larger KMail became completely
broken and useless.

I liked the efficiency and small footprint of Claws, but keep coming
back to Thunderbird (Icedove in Debian) as having the features I need to
work with my clients and the least amount of bugs that get in my way.
