I seem to be the only Claws user so far.  Switched to it because Thunderbird was eating up huge gobs of memory and slowing my little 2GB laptop to a crawl.  The GUI is similar, not quite as polished but very stable and efficient in dealing with my large IMAP folders.  Highly recommended.
