[vox-tech] trackerd question

Hi,

trackerd has been running for over 24 hours on my computer, not sure if
that's normal?  (I did move around some directories recently, but not a
ton...)
Also, can I set it up somehow so that it won't index when I am on battery
power?
Is trackerd a full-text indexing, or do you need beagle for that kind of
thing?

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10
