dang.  i meant to say:

   i sympathize -- our archives are truly awesome, but our archive
   search mechanism sucks.  i really hope the new yadda yadda yadda...

downloading the raw archive and using grepmail is definitely more
convenient; the search tool is hopelesly broken.
