Please answer my initial quesiton. What was the name of the rpm you had to
force. Name? URL? The reason I ask is I can look inside of it and see what
happened when you did the force.

OK, no problem. Can you write some of it out the old fashioned way?

Just as I suspected. It made a copy of your XF86Config file and left you with
nada.
Run this command from a root shell;
redhat-config-xfree86
See if you can configure you X-server from there. Else we may need a copy of
the old XF86Config file to hack on. Floppy disk? From a root shell;
1. put DOS floppy in drive
2. mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
3. cp /etc/X11/XF86Config* /mnt/floppy
4. umount /mnt/floppy
