or aptitude.  much nicer interface than dselect.  it uses apt as a
backend, meaning it's not as braindead as dselect _can_ be when
upgrading packages.

not that dselect is braindead; it's much more intelligent than rpm
packaging.  but compared to apt, dselect is ... quirky.
