[vox-tech] new kernel -> kernel panic

Well, I basically fixed it, though not in a way that I 
like very much.  The way I did it was to reinstall 
Progeny Debian (newton) from the CD without reformatting.
Now it boots fine, but I have to bring the system back up
to date.  At least I can get my data now.
