We are looking for someone to join our Sunnyvale, CA team and take a
lead developer role in the definition and implementation of Linux
technologies on an innovative camera SoC platform. You would
contribute in all architectural phases of the software development
life cycle

detailed architectural designs, implementation, documentation, testing,
optimization, maintenance and direct customer support.

Responsibilities include:
* Modify and fine-tune the Linux kernel to run on resource-constrained
camera system; develop (often from scratch) various device drivers;
port, integrate and develop user land application, as applicable for
the product
* Participate in the scoping, integration and development of relevant Linux
technologies, as applicable to the product
* Participate in architectural definition of various key technology pieces and
their integration into the system
* Participate in architectural design and software code reviews to ensure the
creation of high-quality, robust solution by all team members
* Influence, guide and build consensus among the various development
team members with respect to the architectural designs and solutions
being chosen

Qualifications include:
* Knowledge of Linux kernel, device drivers, and user-level APIs and services
* Hands-on programming experience in Linux kernel 
* Experience with Linux implementations on mobile and/or embedded devices
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team player

Desired:
* Experience working directly with OEMs and/or ODMs in the consumer electronics
arena
* Experience with image processing and/or video compression (H264)
* Experience with MIPS, ThreadX RTOS, Networking, USB, video streaming
protocols
