SENIOR IT MANAGER

Fluid is looking for a Linux guru to manage our IT systems in San 
Francisco. We pay competitively, based on the qualifications of the 
applicant, probably in the $90-130K/year range plus medical and dental 
benefits as well as options and non-matching 401(k). With the help of 
another IT employee and the necessary contract resources, Fluid's IT 
Manager will have the final responsibility for Fluid's IT systems, 
including:

* Fluid's internal infrastructure: servers, network, email,
  calendaring, 
  phone, desktop support, and so on
* The configuration and maintenance of the Fluid Retail and Fluid
  Social server environments
* The management and integration of third party systems like
  Salesforce, Basecamp, and Bugzilla
* The setup and maintenance of some of our customers' server
  environments

Required areas of expertise for this position are:

* Comprehensive Linux administration wizardry and strong BASH 
  competency, especially with Red Hat Enterprise and CentOS
* Server software including BINDv9, DHCPd, Samba, Exim, Dovecot,
  Apache, OpenLDAP, and Nagios
* General networking skill including knowledge of the 7 OSI layers
* Networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, NetBIOS/SMB, IMAP, SMTP, 
  LDAP, SNMP, HTTP, FTP, NFS, NTP and NNTP
* Digital security (SSL, firewall, SSH, hardening servers, virus, 
  malware, SPAM, etc)
* Version control system administration and usage, especially CVS and 
  Subversion
* Administering LAMP stack components for efficient and repeatable 
  application development
* The management experience to supervise and provide constructive 
  feedback to co-workers and contractors
* Strong problem solving skills
* Ability and desire to learn quickly and independently

Additional useful skills include:

* Installing, configuring, and tuning relational databases, especially
  MySQL
* Administration of the Apache Tomcat application server
* Administration of the 3tera Applogic virtual server platform
* Experience administering Windows Server 2003+ and Exchange Server
* Distributed backup client-server setups
* Experience with heterogeneous networks of Windows, Mac OS X and Linux 
  desktops and servers
* Experience with desktop support of Windows XP and Mac OS X
  workstations
* Development experience with PHP and Java
* Administration and usage of CMS systems
* Administration and usage of ecommerce systems
* Load testing, including the analysis of traffic data
