I was contacted by a recruiter, and offered to post the positions
he's looking to fill to LUGOD.  Here's the first post (for three
Flash-related jobs, though they do mention PHP & MySQL, so it's
not _totally_ off-topic for a Linux User Group):


I need to fill several positions for one of the hottest and fastest
growing social gaming start-ups in the Bay area. This is a general
position description for

    * Flash Developers
    * Flash Development Leads
    * Flash Architects / Managers 

What we're looking for:

    * Recent industry experience preferably in a fast paced
      environment with short project deadlines (e.g. startup, marketing,
      service environments)

    * 5 years of industry experience in full cycle web application
      development (i.e. experience with both frontend, backend, and platform
      integration)

    * At least 1 cutting edge deliverable on a project that they
      contributed to in a significant way

    * Computer science degree a plus

    * Demonstrated ability to learn quickly (i.e. they have experience
      touching lots of different technologies)

    * Required technologies
          o Expert level: AS3
          o Proficiency: PHP/ Java, Javascript, CSS, MySQL 

    * Required knowledge
          o Object oriented programming in Flash
          o Design patterns such as Model View Controller 

    * Game development experience (a plus)

    * We are looking for Flash developers for both our Mountain View
      and San Francisco offices and our Eugene, OR studio

What you'll do:

    * Build flash-based, multi-player, Web-based Social games

    * Work hand in hand with a project team (engineers, game
      designers, producers) to deliver new games and features

    * Contribute to the discussion. We invite ideas and suggestions
      from all corners. Our games are built in a collaborative environment.
