Senior Software Engineer

 

We are seeking a motivated, intelligent Senior-level Software Engineer
who wants to work for a dynamic software engineering team.  You must be
able to work well in teams and on individual basis.  You must be able to
thrive in fast-paced development environment, multi-task efficiently,
and be able to perform well as a leader, guiding a staff of 2-4 other
engineers.  You must be organized, be able to work in concert with other
engineers, engineering managers, and product managers.

 

 

This person will be on a team that currently has 2-3 other developers.
They will be focused on the customer-facing platform.  Will be getting
requirements from PM team, and interact quite a bit with project
managers.  Will also work with product group.

 

 

You will be developing, maintaining, testing, supporting, and
documenting for our primary LAMP-based web application.  You will be
required to lead other members in your group in development of new
requirements, bug fixes, code re-factoring and other maintenance.  You
will also be required to develop backend functions and libraries that
serve as a middle-tier layer between Web front-end and database backend.
Backend modules typically interact extensively with MySQL database, and
many integrate with XML-based Web-Services.  You must be comfortable
with hand-coding HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

 

Job Requirements

 

- 5+ years web-based software development experience

- Experience leading a team of 2+ engineers

- 4+ years PHP development experience

- 4+ years experience with writing SQL queries on MySQL (or equivalent)
database

- Experience with Web Services, SOAP desired 

- Experience with HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS desired

- Experience with Software Design Patterns, OOP required
