Hi,

I mentioned before the last meeting that we had a recruiter attend.   
Here are the jobs he has available and the contact information.  Only  
jobs one and two are really targeted at linux/open source.  The rest  
are Java, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to include them in this post.

Here is a brief summary of some of the open positions currently
available through TEKsystems in Sacramento:

Jobs 1 and 2:
TEKsystems is currently looking for 2 Web Developers with experience in
PHP Programming.  We are ideally seeking PHP version 5, or PHP 4 with
some object-oriented programming) experience as well.  Additional skills
desired are HTML, JavaScript and/or AJAX, CSS, and SQL or MySQL.  Strong
front-end Web Site Design experience is a plus for one of the positions,
lead experience is a plus for the other position.  These positions are
available either as contract-to-permanent hire or as full-time salaried
direct permanent placements.  Job site is located in Folsom.  All work
done on-site.

Jobs 3, 4, and 5:
TEKsystems is currently looking for 3 Java Developers to work as
front-end Developers at a medium sized Client in the Folsom area.  These
individuals should have experience with Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets,
Javascript, AJAX, CSS, and HTML.  These individuals should also have
strong database connectivity skills with either SQL or MySQL.  Any
experience with DB2 or mainframe would be a plus.  These positions are
full-time salaried direct permanent placements.  All work done on-site.

Jobs 6 and 7:
TEKsystems is currently looking for 2 Java Developers to work as
maintenance support Programmers, maintaining and enhancing existing
applications centering on Java/J2EE, JSP, Struts, Servlets, JavaScript,
and strong database connectivity.  Must be ok performing maintenance
programming duties, as well as experienced enough to take on new
development and enhancements as needed.  Very strong interpersonal
skills and communication skills are strictly required, as these two
positions are in highly dynamic and interactive environments, where much
of the communication is verbal and ideas are frequently bounced off
other team members in real time.  These positions are both 6 month
contract-to-permanent hire conversions, with one position located in the
Arden area and one position located in the Natomas area.  All work is
performed on-site.

Jobs 7 and 8:
TEKsystems is currently looking for 2 senior Java Developers to work at
a major client in the Rancho Cordova area.  These individuals should
have strong experience with Java/J2EE, EJB, Servlets, Web Servers,
Enterprise Application Environments, Distributed Applications, and
Enterprise Application Security.  Strong Database connectivity in a
secure environment is also a plus.  These positions are permanent
salaried FTE direct placements.  All work is performed on-site.

Jobs 9 and 10:
TEKsystems is currently looking for 2 Java/J2EE Developers to work at a
large Client in the Reno, NV area.  These positions are permanent
salaried FTE direct placements.  Experience with Java/J2EE, EJB, JSP,
Servlets, database connectivity, and application design as well as
development is desired.  All work is done on-site in Reno, NV.
