My client is looking for a PHP/MYSQL Developer for their Santa Monica, CA
office

Be a critical part of an exciting young online social networking company.
Their website has over 2 million registered users and has over 7 million
page views per day.

Duties: 

* Develop and maintain web-based hosted applications written in PHP and
MySQL 
* Perform ongoing system administration (including server monitoring,
database monitoring and system setup/backup/etc.) and performance tuning 
* Support production support activities - troubleshoot and fix high priority
items on the bug list 
* Write great code - this is for content management systems and data
management systems, very object oriented 
* Translate business problems into workable solutions

Required Skills: 
Developer, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, Write Queries, Database
Optimization, OOP, HTML, Application Maintenance  
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal 
Able to work in a collaborative team environment

Must Have: 
4+ years in PHP and MySQL development
Strong background (with demonstrable development experience) in PHP, MySQL,
JavaScript, HTML, and CSS 
Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming with PHP 
Knowledge of Drupal and similar Content Management Systems 
Computer Science and related major 

Nice to have: 
AJAX, PERL, LINUX servers etc.
