Details: Part-Time Junior Sysadmin, SAGE Level I    <p>  USENIX
         Association seeks a part-time entry-level sysadmin who
         possesses excellent English verbal and written communication
         skills, takes direction well, and wants a career in system
         administration with a focus on *NIX architecture. This person
         will assist in:    <ul>  <li> Supporting a staff of 12++ using
         Apple OS X-based systems, including resolving trouble-tickets,
         implementing software updates, and maintaining accounts
         <li> Maintaining a few Windows machines    <li> Maintaining
         recovery systems; assisting in recovery when required    <li>
         Monitoring systems and services    <li> Network maintenance
         and expansion; physical cabling as well as firewall, switch,
         and router configuration    <li> Preparation, creation, and
         maintenance of USENIX conference LANs, including wireless
         networking  </ul>    The successful candidate will have at
         least user-level experience in a *NIX environment, be
         comfortable using a command-line interface, and work well
         with nontechnical users. Other requirements include:    <ul>
         <li> 20 hours/week; hours are somewhat flexible, but the
         majority will be required during regular business hours
         <li> The ability to lift 40 lbs    <li> Familiarity and
         comfort with physical tools, both macro and micro    <li>
         Occasional (2-3 times/year) out-of-state travel  </ul>
         Desirable qualifications include:    <ul>    <li> Experience
         supporting users in OS X and *NIX environments    <li> The
         ability to script in shell or perl    <li> Familiarity with a
         broad range of *NIX variants including FreeBSD, OpenBSD,
         Solaris, and RedHat Linux.    <li> Familiarity with SQL,
         Filemaker Pro, and databases in general    <li> Familiarity
         with Cisco IOS-based devices and wireless networking    <li>
         An active interest in personal productivity devices, such as
         Palm Pilots, cell phones, and the like, and how those things
         exchange information with OS X    <li> Membership in a
         professional organization or user group with a focus on system
         administration, Linux, *BSD, or related technologies    <li>
         Humor, humility, patience, and paranoia  </ul>  In return,
