You will be joining this firm *early* in its lifecycle. The chance to impact the success of the company and future product line will be significant. The Role:The Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer will be a key member of a small team tasked with delivering the hardware platform for a new generation of network appliance.The Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the following:*	Development and bring-up of a complex, programmable Gigabit Ethernet switch*	Parametric and environmental testing*	Pilot run production supportThis position requires detailed understanding of the development and bring-up process for a complex, high speed board level product.Experience with Ethernet
 switch design is desirable, as is recent design experience with IBM PowerPC. Required Qualifications*	At least a Bachelors degree, ideally in Engineering or Computer Science*	At least 4 years of hands on experience with complex Embedded Hardware Design*	Gigabit Ethernet design experience*	Experience with high signal speed PC board design*	Design experience with DDR memory and PCIX bus*	Good bench level trouble shooting skills with oscilloscope and logic analyzerAdditional Desirable Qualifications*	Modest to good programming skills with embedded linux*	Development experience with remotely managed or ‘headless’ systems*	Experience with Cadence tools for PC layout and signal integrity analysis*	Familiarity with Vitesse Ethernet products; switches and phys_____________________________________________________
