Responsibilities include:
New Linux Server Research & Development=20
Research and develop support for servers on Linux platform.  Includes=20
performance tuning of web servers, application servers and DBMS on Linux.=

Some Project Management Skills.
Drive improvements into PeopleTools, plan and coordinate technology=20
rollout with PeopleTools releases.   Work with our partners to make=20
continuing improvement.=20
Server Optimization=20
Profiling and load testing our Server products under the Linux=20
environment, and optimize the products within PeopleSoft architecture.
Develop product and documentation enhancements to optimize product=20
execution on base platforms (DBMS, OS, & server hardware).  Includes=20
technology that can be exploited via PeopleTools product changes, or=20
information, such as platform tuning, that is developed for inclusion in=20
our documentation.
Server Documentation & Education=20
External Documentation:  Ownership of the technical accuracy of our=20
external documentation as it regards our supported platforms (DBMS, OS, &=
=20
server hardware).  Primary focus on Installation and Administration=20
guides, Hardware and Software Requirements, Red Paper, and Release Notes.=
=20
Internal Documentation:  Develop and/or improve internal documentation of=
=20
platform specific internal documentation.
Communication & Education:  Provide technical education to PeopleSoft=20
development community as appropriate.
Professional Development
User Conference Presentation
Review PeopleSoft Linux current development issues and progress with our=20
customers face-to-face.

Skills Requirement:
BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
RedHat or other commercial Linux experience required
Unicode System Services
C/C++ required
Java required
Experience with DBMS required
Performance tuning, such as the use of JProbe, OptimizeIt, Rational=20
Quantify , Purify is a plus
Load testing experience such as Mercury Load Runner, WinRunner, Astra Load=
=20
Test is a plus

Good written and verbal communication skills required
