Writer - contract



This is a contract position.  We are seeking individuals with 2-4 years
of  experience writing technical documention for enterprise software.
UNIX  experience is a must.

General Description:

The Information Developer is an intermediate level technical writing
position.  Incumbents have proven writing skills and solid technical
knowledge creating linear and non-linear documentation.  Familiar with
User Interface (UI) standards for supported platforms.

Responsibilities:

Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that
facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as
relationships with product teams, and internal service providers. Begins
to interact with external contacts on own. Owns larger sections or entire
books.  Writes print and online content.  May coordinate information
development deliverables with other writers.  Commits to schedules.
Possesses a good understanding of how information development fits into
product lifecycle.

Job Experience:

Minimum 2-4 years experience working in Technical Publications department
as an Associate Information Developer writing/developing hardcopy and/or
online documentation.  Proficient with print and online authoring tools.

Education:

B.A.\B.S. degree or equivalent
