  Job duties will include the daily evaluation and monitoring of various
  raw and processed information and network security reports. Data
  reduction and trending analysis, of information security reports, will
  also be required. Provide senior IT and Information Security
  Management with analysis summaries on a daily basis. Will be required
  to work with system and network administration personnel as well as
  with Program Security personnel. Strong written and oral skills
  required to represent issues and to interface with special programs in
  a classified facility.

  Ability to configure, maintain and expand specific information
  security management tools and detection systems, for maximum
  performance without impact to the systems being monitored. Ability to
  implement, maintain and expand host or network based intrusion
  detection tools as required. Knowledge and system programming
  experience with IT/server platforms as built by either HP/Compaq, Sun
  Microsystems, IBM, and Apple Computer, required. Knowledge and device
  programming experience with network communication platforms built by
  either Cisco Systems, and Enterasys, required.

  Knowledge of current IT security practices for UNIX operating system
  variants, Solaris, and AIX required. Knowledge of current IT security
  practices for one or more Microsoft operating systems, NT, Windows
  2000 and Windows XP Professional required. Understanding of the Linux
  operating system a plus. Knowledge and familiarity with current
  Federal, DoD or DoE information security policies and practices highly
  desired.

  Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with a
  minimum of 2 years of related professional level experience or job
  equivalent.

  Able to obtain an SSBI clearance
