QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Entry-level position testing network security technologies for eEye
Digital Security, a global leader in the security industry
(www.eeye.com).  If desired, a successful candidate can transition into a
software development position or a security R&D position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with Software Development, R&D and Product Management to ensure
network security products meet and exceed marketing requirements,
technical specifications and customers' expectations
* Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing methodologies
to  measure software quality
* Discover, document and verify fixes to software defects
* Automate testing scenarios to increase efficiency
* Work with Technical Support and Sales Engineering to reproduce customer-
reported issues in a lab environment
* Maintain a QA lab environment with various operating systems and
configurations

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
* 1-3 years of software testing, network administration or network
security experience, required
* Thorough understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, UDP, firewalls,
intrusion detection, protocol analyzers, vulnerability scanners), required
* Thorough understanding of Windows platforms, required
* Strong communication skills, oral and written, required
* Strong analytical / troubleshooting skills, required
* Programming experience, desired
* User-level understanding of UNIX, desired
* Working knowledge of HTML, XML, SQL Server, Web servers, desired
* Working knowledge of automated software testing tools, helpful
* Microsoft, Cisco or A+ certification, helpful
