The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD) will be holding the following meeting:

Description:
Celebrate the 2017 solar clipse with an introduction to popular
free/open-source software packages designed for amateur astronomers
and space enthusiasts of all kinds. Join us to learn about stargazing,
finding stellar objects, automated telescope control, tracking the
International Space Station and other orbital objects, learning about
the moon, and more.
Each presenter will show you how to get free astronomical software
for Linux, Mac, and Windows, and demonstrate key features of major
packages such as Celestia, Stellarium, KStars, GPredict, and more.
