The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  Monday

  6:30pm - 9:00pm


The meeting will be held at:

  Davis Public Library
  Blanchard Room
  315 East 14th St.
  Davis, California 95616


The topic will be:

  Tux Paint, Technially
  presented by: Bill Kendrick, New Breed Software

    Tux Paint [ http://tuxpaint.sf.net/ ] is an Open Source,
    multi-platform drawing program for young children.  (The latest version
    was released last month, after 13 more months of development.)

    Tux Paint includes numerous graphical effects ("Magic" tools), has
    been localized to nearly 60 languages, and ported from Linux to
    Windows, Mac OS X, BeOS, BSD and Solaris.

    Bill will provide a very brief overview of Tux Paint, and then
    discuss some of the technical and project-management aspects of the
    project.

    Bill Kendrick is lead developer of Tux Paint.  He develops cellphone
    video games for a company in Palo Alto, CA, and has been writing
    Open Source games for Unix and Linux since 1997.
