The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

The meeting will be held at a special location:

The topic will be:

  Implementation of Open Source at the CA Air Resources & Franchise Tax Boards
  presented by: Bill Fell and Harry Ng from ARB, and Allen Lung from FTB

    California's Air Resources Board and Franchise Tax Board have
    taken an interest in Open Source Software (for example, see ARB's Open
    Source Software Initiatives page: http://www.arb.ca.gov/oss/oss.htm ).

    This presentation will be a non-technical discussion of the use of
    Open Source in government.

    Bill Fell works at the Office of Project Management at, and acts as
    Webmaster for, ARB.  Harry Ng is Manager of Application Development
    at ARB.  Allen Lung is Senior Software Specialist at FTB.
