[vox-announce] LUGOD Elections taking place

LUGOD's elections are now taking place.  Nominations closed during
last night's meeting.  ( http://www.lugod.org/meeting/past/2004.04.19.php )


The following people were nominated:

  * President:
    Doug Barbieri
    Ryan Castellucci
    Emily Stumpf
    Hans Uhlig

  * Vice President:
    Mike Simons

  * Treasurer:
    Henry House [*]

  * Secretary:
    Daphne Pareas


Since Mike, Henry and Daphne were running unopposed, a call for objections
was made at last night's meeting.  Since there were none, Mike and Henry
remain in their positions, and Daphne takes over for Stephen Matthew Helms
as Secretary.  Congratulations!


Elections for president will be done online.  Members who have filled out
membership forms (e.g., are listed on the Members Page, unless they
circled "No" to being displayed) will soon be sent a randomly-generated
passcode and URL they can use to vote in the election.

If you're not listed on the members page, or your e-mail address
bounces or is unknown, you will NOT receive a passcode!
(E-mail webmaster@lugod.org immediately with your fullname and
a working e-mail address if you've never filled out a membership form!)


Elections will remain open until the day of the next LUGOD meeting
(Tuesday, May 4th).
