Uh, I haven't checked vox for a while...

Were you saying that the Extra-PC thing was really a good idea or were you
mocking it? In one message, I see you say "great ad" and the next I see a
"con" reference.  If I promoted the idea of something that was illegal,
I had not intent of doing that. Now I feel like I am going to have to
consult my attorney! (tic reference to Hunter S. Thompson)

I listed links for creating the same sort of bootable drive. The Extra-PC
advertisement is most likely a rebranded Fedora, Ubuntu, or other disto on
a thumb drive. The issue is the challenge of creating the thumb drive
which takes a little bit of work. I imagine that Extra PC put a sticker
on the thumb drive, changed the bootloader background image and the
desktop image. The docs underneath are probably still Fedora or Ubuntu.

Would Lugod creating the same thing seem like a con? Are we talking
literal con like reselling something that we don't have the rights to. Or,
is this a perception that I just don't realize. I had seriously thought
creating the same thing and selling it could be valuable and a way to
collect more money for the group.  CheapBytes made a business out of
this before downloading an ISO image became a whole lot easier. At one
point, RedHat forced them to stop using the RedHat name and CheapBytes
renamed the same CDs to PinkTie Linux.... The GPL licensing promotes the
idea of free as in freedom and not in price. I think Lugod erroneously
promotes the idea that free software is free as in price. GPL license
(other licenses may have this requirement) does not require this.
