Great reviews, great school.  Free, or $50 (which I can't afford-- help..) if you want the Certificate.  I'm with Brian about first languages though-- Pascal is tops.. I've yet to learn Python but these professors seem to like it.  Not enough Linux support for my taste, either.
But if your student is an ambitious one, they can probably manage to catch up with the work (it started the 19th, but is still open for enrollment.)

Ps. This is the new alternative to our overpriced, traditional colleges.  (Though one should note, Community Colleges' fees are waived if you're indigent, just leaving you unable to afford housing in now-gentrified Davis.)
