You can get 4G prepaid from T-mobile for 17.50 a month if you get it
from Walmart. It comes with 1.75 gigs of data per month when you buy two
months and stops working when the data runs out. They also have the 2.5
gigs of data for 25 bucks with the same two month purchase.

Walmart sells the prepaid cards that are good for two months. I can
get 10 MBit/sec on their 4G. As you can imagine, that will eat up 1.75
gigs pretty fast!

I just picked up a T-Mobile Jet 2.0 Laptop stick for 40 bucks from
Walmart. Once it is activated, you can use it under Linux. And,
I bet you can plug it into an openwrt router!

No contract and no billing surprises! Only surprise is your internet
cuts off when you run out of data.
