Bernard Golden, Virtualization Beyond Server Consolidation

Virtualization is well-established as a server consolidation
technology. Large numbers of physical servers can be replaced by
virtual machines hosted on smaller numbers of (typically) more
powerful servers. Virtualization is now moving beyond consolidation
and into new areas. Bernard's talk will discuss new trends in
virtualization, including new areas of server virtualization, as well
as client virtualization and the nascent cloud computing movement.

About Bernard Golden

Bernard Golden has over twenty years experience in the technology
field, having worked in global consultancies, enterprise software
companies, and large IT organizations. Today he is CEO of
HyperStratus, a virtualization and cloud computing consulting firm.

Bernard is the author of Virtualization for Dummies, the most popular
book on the subject ever published. He serves as the Virtualization
and Cloud Computing Advisor for CIO Magazine. Bernard also speaks at
many conferences on these topics as well as issues regarding
technology adoption within IT organizations.
