Most game arcades played some music.  For the most part it was just
background noise, you never would notice it unless you wanted to(and
when playing games, who would want to? ) later on, in the middle 90s
they became more annoying.  


anyone remember the table version of space invaders?  

And you forgot Zaxxon.  Also, One of my fav games was A.P.B.
