It is nice to see OpenSource jobs being posted. :-D

I dont want to burst anyone's bubble, but instead want to offer a thought
on this that has been true at other universities.

When a Uni job is posted with specifics on who shall receive preferrential
treatment, they often have a candidate in mind. The posting is only a
legal formality to offer the appearance of a fair review of applications.

A give away for me in reading this:
"Preference will be given to..."

Also, a list of very specific desire, and required items is also a give-away.

Just know about this if you can walk on water in all of these categories,
apply, but do not hear back from them.
