[vox] afio/cpio Backup Query.

I'm trying to figure out how to either:

    (1) Delete files from an afio(5) or cpio(5) archive.
    (2) Add files to an existing afio(5) or cpio(5) archive.

...or:

    (3) Replace files in an afio(5) or cpio(5) archive.

Any ideas, other than RTFS and write a filter program that will do what
I want (which I'm working on now)?
