Perhaps It it's in the configuration files for dovecot. I have been looking at the mailarchive package. It will create an mbox archive . </dev3_jjy>

        Make that 2 who uses Thunderbird.
        I also use Dovecot with IMAP and mbox. You *do not* need to use
        maildir with IMAP.
