netcdf-bin is in the ubuntu universe repository. The file on the GrADS website linked from "ubuntu-8.04 (32-bit)" is just<br>
an archive of binaries. Just copy the files to ~/bin, /usr/bin, or<br>
/usr/local/bin, and they'll be fine.<br>
