[vox-tech] configure sieve filtering?

I am on the old line of procmail filtering (a simple set of filters). If
I convert to sieve, can I just continue to have Exim deliver local?

I was looking at this howto and I see that the author has delivery set to dovecot.
Is this so users can update filters via imap? Is it possible to configure a sieve
filter via imap?
