Yes we tried at an installfest. It was kinda tricky but definitely
possible and at the time (year ago I think) there was only 1 image
mostly working (Chrubuntu). It's probably much better now, I know I've
seen some Fedora variant too. The funkiest part is figuring out how the
boot loader works and tricking it to do what you want, after that just
having the right distro arch is no issue.

Go for it, if you got more questions, I can dig through the webs in my
head to recall the specifics of what I learned.

FYI, I assume were talking the arm based ones.
