No. There is support for xrandr, but it's built in so he doesn't need a
LoadModule to load it. See below where it says:

It is detecting the built-in laptop display. I assume at the moment the
external monitor isn't plugged in, so that would be what the message
means.
I don't see any particularly fatal error that should be causing the X
server to quit.
